Our Mission

The Queens Military Society exists to build community among Canadian Armed Forces members at Queens University through social events, shared experiences, and mutual support.

We provide a space where military members—whether Regular Force, Reserve, or Veterans—can connect with peers who understand the unique challenges of balancing service and academics. Through informal gatherings, recreational activities, and social events, we strengthen bonds that extend beyond the uniform.

To be the central hub for military community at Queens University, where service members find belonging, friendship, and support throughout their academic journey.

Inclusion

Our doors are open to all CAF members: Army, Navy, Air Force; Regular Force, Reserve, Rangers, Veterans; students, staff, and faculty. If you've worn the uniform, you belong here.

We understand the demands of military service and academic excellence. Our events provide respite, recreation, and real connection—helping members thrive in both worlds.

Respect

We honor diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. Our community is built on mutual respect and professionalism, even as we gather informally.

Authenticity

No pretense, no politics, no posturing. We're real people sharing real experiences. What happens at QMS events reflects our genuine community, not military protocol.

Independence

While we celebrate our military heritage, we are an independent student organization. We do not represent, speak for, or act on behalf of the Canadian Armed Forces.
